NO STORM DAMAGE! Both towns of Highlands and Cashiers are fully operating.
This charming farmhouse dates back to 1895, located next to a beautiful rushing creek with a beautiful ole tyme wooden covered bridge. The house was totally remodeled with updated amenities, yet the hundred-year-old charm was maintained. It is set on a 5 1/2 acre fenced-in farm. You will enjoy the stunning Laurel Knob Farm Barn, Pavillion, and Chapel, both handcrafted and outfitted with antique, old-world finishings. There is an apple orchard. Expect to be greeted at the door by our sweet outside farm cat, Milo. Our amazing Caretaker, Osbaldo, also lives in the caretaker's cottage on the grounds. The area is nestled right in between Highlands and Cashiers. (no 4x4 is required to access the home). You can get to either town in less than 15 minutes. The setting is perfect for relaxing and enjoying the mountain atmosphere. Enjoy a cocktail or coffee on the cozy screened-in porch. The fully stocked kitchen has Viking and Sub-Zero appliances. Both baths have relaxing claw foot tubs. There are two working wood-burning stoves, one in the Master bedroom and one in the Living Room. The Master Bedroom (King Bed) is located on the first floor with a great view and the two other bedrooms (one King and one Queen) are located upstairs. Mattresses are super comfortable with high-quality linens.
